WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE 

As a Senior Consultant working directly with clients, you’re an advisor building strong and trusted relationships.  You’ll deliver end-to-end consulting services on the Salesforce platform using Salesforce cloud solutions and FinancialForce to support our customers’ business needs.  Typical projects involve requirement gathering workshops, documentation, data migration, system configuration, testing, integration, change management and client engagement.  You’ll have a chance to own it all.

Our clients are located throughout the U.S. and many have global offices.  At VFP you’ll get to work remotely from anywhere in the continental U.S. and travel to client locations as required.  On average you should expect to travel 30-50% of the time to support several concurrent projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, operate, and integrate Salesforce systems to enable efficiencies in key areas of the business
  • Provide consulting and coaching around best practices in Salesforce administration and implementation to enhance user experience
  • Work on Salesforce automation to streamline processes
  • Manage multiple stakeholders’ engagements and work with associated team members to understand projects, facilitate business process analysis sessions, and develop technology solutions for these teams
  • Identify project issues/risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve them
  • Proactively recommend new features and improvements to optimize and grow the use of the platform

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to build, iterate, and improve existing or new processes and functions
  • Design, build, and deliver tailored Salesforce solutions for the business using Salesforce and other connected technologies
  • Author functional and technical specifications and help maintain overall documentation for the business
  • Uphold and promote best practices, design guidelines for security practices
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of the connected Salesforce platform
 

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of experience with technical implementations 
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce.com configurations
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, or other Salesforce solutions
  • Experience implementing a full project lifecycle from requirements to deployment
  • Experience in deploying Salesforce components from one environment to another via change sets, ANT, or other third-party tools
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Proven ability to design (i.e. solution options) and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, complex formula fields, flows, process builder rules, custom views, validation rules, page layouts, record types
  • Strong understanding and experience implementing permissions and sharing framework and ability to manage complex permission levels via profiles, role hierarchy, sharing settings, and field level security
  • Solid understanding of the Salesforce and FF data model and relationships between objects
  • Experience with other CRM software, such as Dynamics, Oracle OnDemand, Siebel, Peoplesoft, or NetSuite
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation, and load (ETL) tools such as Informatica
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
